CERBA Paris upgrade

Service engineer Thomas Iordanidis visited customer CERBA in Paris recently to conduct a pump upgrade on an ABCA2, Sercon’s high performance, high sample throughput isotope ratio mass spectrometer for breath analysis.

The successful upgrade went well, passing specifications and customer satisfaction.

On his last day in Paris, Thomas found time visit the reopened Notre Dame cathedral which has been on his list since before the fire in 2019. Incidentally, researchers from France, Finland and Canada have been unlocking the secrets of the High Medieval Ages environmental conditions buried in the charred oak beams taken from the wreckage, using  Sercon Limited IRMS, Teledyne Photon Machines laser ablation and Terra Analitic IsoScell for in-situ δ13C analysis – see full story here.
