GC-CP Installation in Japan
We’ve just completed one of two major installations in Japan, together with our long-established partners and Sales agents for the country, Nippon Sanso.
Senior Field Service & Installation Engineer Dave Harris worked alongside Takashi Oono (manager), Motomitsu “Monty” Tsukumo (engineer) from Nippon Sanso to install the units whilst providing supplementary training for future installation work.
The team first visited Fukuoka University to install a HS2022, Aqua, VerSA, Orchid, GC-CP for Prof. Kentaro Kawanaka from the Faculty of Sports and Health Science. It’ll be used for HD & 13C on amino acids via GC-CP pyrolysis (HD) and combustion (CO2) method.
The University now has 2 Sercon mass spectrometers – the other system is also running water equilibrations 18O & HD.
Dave’s visit to Fukuoka was in their rainy season, so things were quite damp, but he spent his evenings eating Ramen, wandering the Shinto shrines in the city and finding small cool bars to relax and write in.
