Hamburg University of Applied Science, Upgrade

Early in December, Service Engineer Rob Kameny visited the Heinrich Blasius Institute at the University of Applied Science in Hamburg to upgrade the electronics and the pumps assembly on a Hydra 2020 and HP5890 GC.

Dr. Verena Markmann and Heinrich Kreipe use the instruments for determination of the isotope ratios of hydrocarbons using photoacoustic spectroscopy.

Dr. Verena Markmann commented: “Within just one week, a previously unusable machine was successfully upgraded and is now operating flawlessly. It will deliver highly accurate data on gas compositions, opening the door to exciting advances in our hydrocarbon research.”
