Henry’s ABCA Voyage
Service engineer Henry Cooke recently undertook a bit of an ‘ABCA voyage’ tour, taking in three locations, all in the medical testing field:
- Installation of a new rotary pump at CERBA in Frepillon (Paris), for Thomas Le-Picard of the Physical Chemistry department
- A regular instrument service at CHC Montlegia for Michael Minster in the Endoscopic Digestion department
- Relocation of an ABCA from one hospital to another at CHU Liege for Claire Bernard of the Nuclear Medicine department.
The tour wasn’t without its challenges – three jobs over a two week period, plus travel between locations, different languages and making sure the relocated ABCA was back up and running again!
The perks of the travel balance out the demands of multi-visit trip like this – Henry managed to see the sights of Paris, visiting the Notre Dame, and took evening and weekend trips from Liege to Maastricht (Netherlands) and Aachen (Germany).
