Description
A panel wirer / Electrical fitter is required in the Production Department to manufacture a
range of instruments. The ideal candidate will be qualified or practically experienced in
electrical assembly including understanding electrical diagrams and performing cable
making, soldering, crimping and terminal installation to drawings.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Assembly of electrical and electronic systems.
- Control cabinet assembly
- Terminal installation
- Soldering multi-pin connections
- Soldering surface mount devices
- Refurbishment and upgrade of existing products returned to factory
- Electrical fault finding
- Following technical drawings
Qualifications
You should have or be:
- Academic qualification or practical experience in electrical assembly
- Significant previous assembly experience within a workshop manufacturing
environment - Excellent soldering skills including complex high-density connectors and surface
mount devices - Meticulous assembling skills
- Able to read and understand electrical drawings including wiring diagrams and PCB
schematics - Strong time management and be able to work unsupervised to defined deadlines
- Good communicator and team player
