Service Visit University of Gothenburg

In December Sercon’s Senior Field Service & Installation Engineer Dave Harris was at the University of Gothenburg on a service visit.

The lab there, led by Elizabeth Robertson (pictured in the foreground below), runs a Sercon HS2022, a GLS and a Cryoprep, used by her and some new PhD students. Dave also delivered the additional Cryoprep training requested for the team.

Elizabeth’s work focuses on nutrient transformations in a wide range of marine ecosystems – from coastal sediments, oceanic oxygen minimum zones to single-cell dynamics in phytoplankton communities. These efforts contribute significantly to the understanding of nutrient cycling and its broader environmental impacts.

The other pictures reflect Dave’s down time during the visit, where he hung out with some friends he’s made there over many visits during the University’s long association with Sercon.
