Southampton General Hospital
Part of Southampton University, the labs at Southampton General Hospital, are home to an old ABCA-G service being used by Dr Paul Afolabi, which he thinks was installed in 2003.
The instrument is currently being used to investigate the causes of Long Covid and how it affects Mitochondrion within human cells.
Dr Afolabi told Dave Harris, who serviced the machine, “Nice instrument. This is a very good system to use in clinical translational research in various metabolic disorders for clinical researchers.”
