Service Engineer Henry Cooke has recently completed a service visit to the Universidad de Chile in Santiago.

The client, Sótero Astaburuaga Ossa from the Facultad de Ciencias Agronómicas runs a Sercon Integra2, used in their Agrosciences research. Henry performed a routine service and optimised performance for NC combustion and low temperature pyrolysis.

N C and O isotope ratio analysis allows the customer to test for the levels of stress endured by the Tamarugo tree in the Atacama Desert – one of the few tree species able to grow in the driest place on earth.

Our engineers like to get the best out of their downtime while overseas, and on this trip, Henry enjoyed the sights of Santiago and took a day trip out to Cajon del Maipo in the mountains.
