BCEIA 2025
Sercon Director Garry Armstrong is back in China this week for the 21st Beijing Conference and Exhibition on Instrumental Analysis (BCEIA 2025), where you’ll find him on the Techcomp booth.

Invited speakers at the event, being held at the China International Exhibition Centre (Shunyi Hall), Beijing, include:
- Prof. Guibin Jiang of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the World Academy of Sciences, President of the China Association for Instrumental Analysis, Vice Chair of the 13th National Committee of Population, Resources, and Environment of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Member of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC. He is a pioneering scientist in the research of emerging pollutants in China.
- Prof. Jonathan V. Sweedler is an American chemist specializing in bioanalytical chemistry, neurochemistry and cell to cell biology and behaviour. He is the James R. Eiszner Family Endowed Chair in Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, he holds a faculty appointment in the Beckman Institute. He is also an Elected Fellow to the American Chemical Society, for which he is also the society’s Editor in Chief for the journal Analytical Chemistry.
- Prof Xiaoliang Xie is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a Lee Shau-kee Professor and head of Faculty of Sciences of Peking University. He also serves as the Director of Changping Laboratory, and the director of the Beijing Advanced Innovation Centre for Genomics, Peking University. He is also a member of US National Academy of Medicine, the US National Academy of Sciences, and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
- Prof Weinan E is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. He is also a professor of both the School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University and Princeton University, and serves as the director of The Center for Machine Learning Research (CMLR) at Peking University, the president of the Beijing Institute of Big Data Research(BIBDR), the president of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, University of Science and Technology of China, and the Scientific Advisory Board Chair of the Institute for Math & Al, Wuhan.
