British Organic Geochemistry Society (BOGS) Meeting 2024

Next week sees the British Organic Geochemistry Society (BOGS) Meeting 2024 at the University of Manchester (11th and 12th July) and will be attended by Sercon’s Garry Armstrong and Mark Gibson.

This years’ event – the 34th of its kind – is themed around biogeochemical cycles, palaeo-environments and palaeo-climates, novel biomarker proxies and environmental geochemistry. You can download the programme here.

The event’s Keynote Speaker is Dr James Bendle, reader in Organic Geochemistry, from the University of Birmingham. His keynote this year is entitled:

“Bacterial 3-Hydroxy Fatty Acids (3-OH-FAs): A New Proxy Hope?”

If you’re going to BOGS 2024 and would like to catch up with Garry and Mark, just drop us an email – they are both looking forward to both catching up with both old friends and making new contacts while they find out what’s new in organic geochemistry.
