Encouraging Teenagers into Careers in STEM

Development Scientist Tom Hankinson, recently represented Sercon at a careers fair hosted by his old school, Bury Grammar School. Encouraging teenagers to consider a career in STEM subjects is vital to the future of companies like Sercon. 

The fair was mainly attended by A-Level and BTEC students from across the borough of Bury, and Tom received a lot of interest in careers in STEM in the Northwest of England, so he was kept very busy.

Other employers attending included Lloyds Bank, the BBC, PWC and the armed forces. A number of regional universities were also present.
