Introducing Harry Rowe

Harry Rowe, who works in production at Sercon Instruments in Crewe, joined the company in June 2021, on an apprenticeship straight from high school.

In his early days, his role was focused on building instruments with the team. Over time, he has taken on additional responsibilities including managing the paperwork for each unit in production, as well as quality control and a number of pre-test operations.

Job satisfaction for Harry is in producing quality instruments to a high standard: “I get a great amount of satisfaction from being directly involved with the building of a unit, getting to watch it go from an empty cabinet to a complete and tested product ready for despatch to research labs that could be anywhere around the world.”

Harry intends to finish his college course and be taken on as a full-time member of production where he can continue to grow and develop his career.

When he’s not working, Harry, who has lived nearby in Shavington all his life, enjoys spending time with friends socialising as well as fishing (when the English weather permits it). He also plays the piano and is working towards his grades.
