Introducing Sam Wilton

Sam Wilton joined Sercon at the end of September as Production Engineer from an industrial maintenance background including both electrical and mechanical engineering, and working on a wide selection of machinery.

He enjoys the process of a machine being built from scratch and understanding the complex nature of how machines work, and was attracted to Sercon’s positive work environment.

“One of the reasons I joined Sercon was how they promote workplace growth – which was exactly what I was looking for as part of my next career move,” Sam explained, concluding: “My experience has been nothing but positive from day one I have been made to feel very welcome and part of the team. It’s both living up to and going beyond my expectations.”

As well as his day to day role, Sam has ambitions to streamline Sercon’s manufacturing and aid in development of all instruments. Operations Manager Simon Mosely commented: “Sam has made a very strong start with us. Our recent acquisition by Techcomp is helping Sercon move into a phase of improved growth and Sam has the capability to help our production side move forward without a hitch.”

Sam lives close to Crewe with his fiancée Lauren who enjoys the gym, swimming, playing golf and darts. He also enjoys cooking.
